A little bit of monsoon high clouds drifted over the area today. Temperatures were on the warmer side with the interior valleys again topping 100 degrees.
Not much change Wednesday and Thursday but a transition toward cooler weather begins Friday an increasing afternoon northwesterly winds and a deeper, more extensive marine layer develops during the night and morning.
This cooler weather will continue through next Tuesday as a trough of low pressure should remain parked along the West Coast.
The northwesterly winds should pick up to 15-25mph Sunday into Monday. Warmer weather is possible again next Wednesday heading into mid-month.
