Vivian Rennie is a Meteorologist and delivers the Microclimate Weather forecast for KSBY News Daybreak, weekday mornings from 5-7 a.m. She joined the KSBY News team in October 2021.
Vivian hails from Breckenridge, Colorado where her love of weather began when a local meteorologist came to visit her second-grade classroom. She graduated from Penn State with a degree in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science. While in school, Vivian was involved in activities across the university, forecasted for central Pennsylvania, and experienced many a nor’easter.
She got her start in news as an intern with CBS News, working in the London Bureau covering stories from across the globe.
After graduation, she headed to Sioux City, Iowa where she learned every aspect of news. She covered everything from severe weather to the Iowa Caucuses.
When the opportunity came to move to the Central Coast, Vivian jumped at the opportunity. Not only does she have family in the area, but her mom is a proud Cal Poly alumnus.
