After two rotations, Biles was in third place, behind Andrade and Kaylia Nemour of Algeria. But Biles reclaimed the lead after a stellar performance on balance beam. She scored 14.566. Andrade, who had a few wobbles on the apparatus, scored a respectable 14.133 but fell to second place.
Going into the final apparatus, floor exercise, Biles was only leading Andrade by about a tenth of a point.
Italy's Alice D'Amato followed in third, while Nemour was tied for fourth with Lee.
After a few mistakes from D'Amato and Nemour, Lee showed off what made her the all-around champion at the 2020 Olympics, jumping past the other two competitors.
Next up was Andrade, who went out of bounds, but otherwise had a solid routing.
Finally, Biles had her moment on her signature event, performing a routine that wowed the crowd, lifting her to gold.
She would go on to win with a score of 59.131. Andrade ended the night with 57.932 points, followed by Lee with a 56.465.
