The Allan Hancock football team won its second straight bowl game on Saturday night, as the Bulldogs took down Mt. San Jacinto College, 14-9, at Righetti High School.
After being held scoreless in the first half, the Bulldogs came out strong to start the 3rd quarter. Matt Garcia hooked up with a wide-open Jerome Afe on a 31-yard connection to get Hancock on the board. Then later in the 3rd, Desmond Newkirk punched it in from 4 yards out, increasing the Bulldogs' lead to 14-3.
With a 5 point lead late in the 4th, E.J. Barrerra came up big for the Bulldogs as he batted down an Eagles' pass on 4th down, securing the bowl victory for Hancock.
