The Mission Prep football team opened up its Ocean League schedule with a big win over Morro Bay last Friday night, 42-7. The KSBY Clutch Performer for Week 8 also comes from our Game of the Week.

Mission Prep senior running back/linebacker Dalton Strouss helped carry the load for the Royals offensively and defensively.

Strouss ran the ball seven times for 131 yards and two touchdowns, the first from 12 yards and second from 41 yards. He's now averaging 9.0 yards per carry through seven games this season to go along with eight touchdowns.

And on defense, Strouss piled up eight tackles, two of those for loss. He has a team-high 62 tackles this season.

Next up for Strouss and the Royals, a home matchup with Santa Maria on Friday night.
