The Blues had a 5-4 lead in the 8th inning, but with one swing of the bat, the Conejo Oaks jumped out in front with a 2-run homer to left, and they held on for the 6-5 win over San Luis Obispo on Sunday at Sinsheimer Park.

Down to their final out, Taison Corio kept the inning alive with a base hit into right field. Then TJ Rumfield skied one high to left field, and it dunked in for a base hit. Taison Corio advanced to third, setting up runners on the corners for Mission Prep’s Dylan Beavers. The future Cal Golden Bear served one deep to right field but not deep enough, as the catch was made, ending the hope for a potential comeback by the Blues.
