NCAA President Mark Emmert is threatening to ban California colleges from winning championships, due to a bill known as the “Fair Pay to Play Act.”

The bill would allow college athletes to make money off of their names, images and likeness.

Earlier this year, two California senators proposed the bill and the state Senate approved it last month.

It now heads to an Assembly committee for consideration.
