Atascadero senior Claire Livengood signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her track & field career with UC Irvine on Tuesday afternoon outside of the athletics offices on the AHS campus.
Livengood lives for distance. She set a personal record in the 3200-meter run at the Greyhounds’ home meet in March with a time of 11:44.50. Livengood also set a school record in the 1600-meter run in February with a time of 5:27.97.
Atascadero athletic director Sam DeRose says Livengood has been valued member of the Atascadero High community during her four years.
