Templeton senior softball pitcher Ashley Daugherty entered Thursday’s regular season finale against Arroyo Grande with 998 career strikeouts – she exited with 1,018.
Daugherty struck out 20 batters in a 2-0 dominating victory from the circle.
The Texas A&M commit wasted no time getting to 1,000 as she punched out three of the first four batters of the game. Her second strikeout got her to the magic number.
Templeton (13-5, 7-5) wrapped up its regular season with a third place finish in the Mountain League.
