Cal RB Patrick Laird signs undrafted free agent deal with Dolphins

After going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, Cal running back Patrick Laird has been signed by the Miami Dolphins to an undrafted free agent contract.

The 2014 Mission Prep graduate burst on to the scene as a walk-on for the Golden Bears his final two years on campus and was named a two-year team captain. Laird started 21 of 41 career games.

In his junior and senior seasons at Cal, Laird combined for 2,088 rushing yards on 414 carries and 13 touchdowns. Laird was also heavily used in the pass-game, catching 96 passes for 610 yards and five touchdowns.

While rushing for the Royals in high school, Laird racked up 4,551 yards and 50 touchdowns.
