High school football season is still months away but the Pirates will have a new face roaming the sidelines in 2019.
Morro Bay High School has announced the hiring of Jake Goossen-Brown as its new head football coach.
Goossen-Brown comes to the Pirates after 12 seasons as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks.
The Pirates are coming off their fifth straight losing season, going 1-9 overall and 0-5 in Ocean League play.
