The Righetti boys wrestling team captured the CIF Central Section Division 2 championship with 249.0 points on Saturday afternoon at Shafter High School.
The Warriors claimed a pair of individual titles, including Dominic Mendez at 106 lbs and Benny Banduenga at 154 lbs.
Righetti held off Klingsburg which scored the runner-up trophy with 240.0 points. Pioneer Valley, which saw Oskar Ruiz win the title at 184 lbs, placed third with 207.0 points.
The Warriors will send 11 wrestlers to next weekend’s Masters Tournament in Lemoore, February 15-16.
