A pair of St. Joseph Knights, Luke Adam and Corby Burress, signed their national letters of intent to play collegiate athletics Tuesday afternoon in the St. Joseph High School library.
Adam, a standout on the boys golf team, will continue his career on the links at Cal Poly. While Burress, a standout girls soccer player, will continue her career on the pitch at Point Loma Nazarene in San Diego.
Adam and Burress are excited to take their talents to the next level.
“It’s kind of a sport you get to play all your life, but to play it at the college level, it’s really exciting,” Adam said. “Both of my parents and both of my brothers went there and loved it, so that was kind of a big deal in my decision.”
“I chose Point Loma because of the beautiful location, and I really like the campus,” Burress said. “It was just a really good fit for me.”
