Allan Hancock Tawny Lino and Ryheem Skinner were named Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table Athletes of the Week.
Shooting guard Lino leads the Bulldogs in points through three games with 17 points per game. She also helped Hancock to begin its season at 2-1.
“I feel really good considering I did tear my ACL so my rehabilitation paid off and I feel really good,” Lino said.
Skinner was honored with the Male Athlete of the Week award. He helped the Bulldogs to an American Championship Bowl title as the Bulldogs defeated San Bernardino Valley, 38-35.
Skinner was named the game’s MVP, adding 130 yards and two touchdowns.
“Coming off the loss of last year, I had a lot of fume to the fire so I just came out ready,” Skinner said. “Every time I touched the ball, I got into the end zone, so I was just ready to go.”
