The San Luis Obispo girls volleyball team defeated Hilmar in five sets to capture the CIF-State Division 4 title on Saturday afternoon at Santiago Canyon College.
The Tigers battled back from 1-0 and 2-1 match deficits, winning the second set, 25-23, and the fourth set, 25-11, to force a winner-takes-all fifth and final set.

San Luis Obispo stung the Yellowjackets in the fifth set, 15-9, to clinch the school’s first-ever CIF-State volleyball title.
