Three Central Coast football teams remain in CIF’s, Mission Prep, Righetti, and Valley Christian Academy.

Mission Prep defeated Fresno Christian, 60-20 in the CIF Central Section championship game for its first title in modern history.

“It’s unbelievable. I’ve been on the losing end of one and it was the best game we played all year,” said David Schuster, Mission Prep head coach. “It was the best week all year, best week of preparation. They executed at such a high level. It’s perfect completion of the season. I’m so happy for these guys. I’m so happy for these seniors. It’s the right way to go out.”

In Division 2, No. 3 Righetti shut out No. 7 Stockdale, 21-0 to advance to the program’s first-ever CIF championship game. The Warriors will face top-seed, Tulare Union next week.

Valley Christian Academy fell to Bloomington Christian, 70-14, in its CIF Southern Section 8-man semifinal matchup on Saturday.
