KSBY’s Friday Night Highlights Week 8 ‘Game of the Week’ features a Mountain League matchup between Nipomo and Pioneer Valley to determine the Ocean League title.
The Panthers are 5-3 on the season but more importantly, undefeated at 3-0 in league play. They’re coming off four straight wins where its offense scored 142 points combined.
Friday night features a lot of big events, it’s homecoming, senior night, and a chance at Pioneer Valley’s first league title in school history.
“This is our first league title game, per se. We’ve never been in this situation,” said John Ruiz, Pioneer Valley head coach. “It’s a great opportunity for our school, administration, and our activities director and everybody.”
“It’s going to be challenging, you know, it’s going to be a big game, a lot of distractions, but our team will be humble and after the win, it’ll feel great,” said Jayson Garcia, Pioneer Valley senior quarterback.
The game will be at Pioneer Valley with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
