San Luis Obispo seniors Alexis and Eliza Lewis signed their Letters of Intent to run cross country and track at California State University Monterey Bay Monday afternoon.
The dynamic twins helped lead the Lady Tigers to the PAC 8 League cross country championship at Cuesta College back in November.
Alexis and Eliza say that going to the same college was always the plan, and it’s even sweeter to be able to run together.
"We’ve always lived together and we’ve always been best friends, so it’s like going to college with my best friend," Alexis said.
"Like she said, it’s kind of like a package and we go together," Eliza added. "I’m going to have a friend, so that’s always nice and takes the pressure off for sure."
When it comes to track for the Otters, Alexis and Eliza say they’ll probably focus on the 800 and 1500 meter runs.
