Bishop Diego High School football went from winning its first-ever CIF Division 6 Championship title to preparing for its first-ever CIF State Championship. The Cardinals cruised past Quartz Hill, 41-7. The game was rescheduled from Friday to Saturday and relocated from Santa Barbara City College to Cal Lutheran University because of the Thomas Fire, but the interference didn’t impact Bishop Diego’s thirst for advancing to the final round.
