Work on Santa Maria’s newest and largest community center is nearing completion.
Located off Bradley and Betteravia roads, the Japanese Community Center will highlight the role of the early Japanese immigrants and honor their agricultural history.
It’s the first community center to be built in Santa Maria in nearly 30 years and will hold events, programs, activities and more and feature cultural art and monuments.
The center is expected to open by the summer.
