Businesses across the Central Coast are working to rebound during the pandemic, and in some cases they have to change their entire business model.
Taylor Rental in Paso Robles is a party rental business, and saw a huge shift in business when the pandemic began.
Since large parties are no longer allowed anywhere in California, the owner, Colin Barncastle, said they needed to change the way the company operated.
Instead of helping set up for large parties, they now help wineries and restaurants re-imagine how to service clients outside in compliance with COVID-19 standards.
"Really the biggest thing that we are doing right now is we are helping wineries and we are helping restaurants reimagine how to service clients outside in compliance with covid standards which keeps everybody safe," said Barncastle.
Taylor Rental completely closed their location in San Luis Obispo and are now operating completely out of their Paso Robles location. "Time will tell if business explodes and things change and we want to expand again, nothing is going to hold us back, but for now we are hear to stay."
When asked what plans are for the future Barncastle said, "The only thing that you can do is try to make lemonade out of lemons, you show up, put everything together that you can and if that's how some of us are gonna make it you just don't quit."
