As the Central Coast works to rebound from the impacts of the pandemic, a Lompoc restaurant is making major upgrades.

Floriano's is working on moving to its new location right across the street.

They are remodeling the old Taco Roco building with brand new equipment for a much bigger kitchen.

Covid has delayed the move, but the owners say they hope to start serving people by summer.

"We're super excited it was a stressful year trying to get this whole thing worked out but we were able to accomplish it especially due to the support we've seen from all of our customers here in town, so we're stoked we can't wait," said co-owner Antonio Rodriguez.

The restaurant's owners hope the location will help them serve more people.

They say they attribute much of their success to the community of Lompoc.
