Pismo Beach police are looking for a suspect that took off after a traffic stop at 9:50 p.m. Sunday night on Highway 101 and Spyglass Drive.
Police say the man exited the car and ran across both northbound and southbound lanes of the highway, close to Shell Beach Road and parallel to The Cliffs.
Police lost track of the suspect, who is known to the department. The on-duty watch commander couldn't tell us what he has been contacted for in the past.
Police say they impounded the man's car and are continuing to look for him.
The investigation is ongoing.
