Like many local fitness studios, SLO Yoga Center has transitioned to online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic and shelter-at-home orders.
Using software from Mindbody, SLO Yoga Center now has the ability to live-stream classes and make pre-recorded classes available to the public.
In addition to yoga, barre, and HIIT classes, the yoga studio is also offering live meditation classes, which they hope will help people stay calm during this stressful time.
"You can still feel that sense of community with everybody practicing together," said Stephanie Stackhouse, SLO Yoga Center co-owner. "That energy helps create a sense of calm, I think, for us, for our families, for those around us to kind of move through our day."
The schedule for live-stream classes and pre-recorded content can be found at sloyogacenter.com. Some classes are free.
