Less than five months after opening in Atascadero, The Nest Breakfast and Lunch Café has had to change the way it does business during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But owner Stacy Betschart says she's staying positive.
Running her own business was a dream come true for Betschart after waiting tables off El Camino Real for 28 years.
"So this definitely came all the sudden to a halt and was shocking but we have our regular customers coming in, calling, ordering gift cards and even calling just to say, 'hi, how are you guys? We miss you. We're thinking about you,'" Betschart said. "I love Atascadero. So yeah, everyone has been amazing."
The restaurant is open for pickup and to-go orders and the staff will take your order to your car.
The Nest is now open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can check out the menu on their website.
