Many small businesses considered to be non-essential have been forced to close until further notice, but one man is doing his best to help those businesses out.
Tom Meinhold, owner of San Luis Obispo-based Tom Meinhold Photography, is offering to match every dollar spent on gift certificates purchased from local businesses that are struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic with credit to his photography business.
The credit can be used toward head shots, family portraits or even a wedding.
All people need to do is show Meinhold the gift card purchase receipt and he will match that amount.
"The hills are green right now. There's no reason why I can't be out doing a family portrait. We can keep that social distance no problem, be out in the fresh air, go to the beach, come right up here off of Bishop's Peak, I mean it's gorgeous right now,” Meinhold said.
As of right now, there is no maximum dollar amount or limit to the number of people that can use the photography credit.
