United Airlines flight diverted after passenger gets stuck in bathroom

DENVER — A United Airlines flight was forced to divert to Denver International Airport on Wednesday night after a passenger became stuck in the bathroom.

United Airlines Flight 1554 was flying from Washington D.C. to San Francisco when it made the unscheduled stop in Denver around 7:28 p.m.

Video shot by a fellow passenger, Taylor Kimber, shows crews trying to get the door open.

“We’ll get you out soon, OK,” a crew member is heard saying to the stuck passenger.

The stuck door was eventually opened, and the passenger was able to get out safely.

The flight was scheduled to be back in the air by 9:30 p.m.
