Cal Poly San Luis Obispo announced Friday that at least the first two weeks of Spring Quarter classes will be held online.
The university is also encouraging instructors to hold Winter Quarter finals online.
On Thursday, the university announced that in response growing concerns over the spread of coronavirus, spring break would be extended by one week, with the new quarter beginning on April 6.
For students who plan to stay on campus during spring break and beyond, university officials say the campus will remain open.
Cal Poly President Jeffrey D. Armstrong said the university would continue to assess the situation and provide updates to students, faculty, and staff.
