A man was injured after falling through the roof of an Atascadero restaurant.
Bill White with Atascadero Fire and Emergency Services says it happened at about 9:11 a.m. Monday at A&W Restaurant on the 6400 block of Morro Road.
The roof was in the process of being worked on when A&W's owner says a roofer came in contact with some water damage.
He "rode down the roof" and was treated for an ankle injury, White said, and was reportedly out of the hospital and doing well as of Monday afternoon.
The business was closed at the time of the incident and is expected to remain closed until at least Tuesday afternoon.
The owner says they will be open during construction and once all repairs are made, they plan to have a special on root beer floats.
