Woodstock's Pizza in San Luis Obispo is hosting a fundraising event Thursday evening to honor what would have been Kristin Smart's 43rd birthday.
Kristin Smart was a Cal Poly student who went missing in May of 1996.
In May of 2017, 21 years after her disappearance, the Smart family honored their loved one and the legacy she left behind by starting the Kristin Smart Scholarship.
Woodstock's Pizza will be donating a portion of their proceeds Thursday night to the "Justice for Kristin Smart" Scholarship in honor of her birthday, February 20, 1977.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m and last until 9:30 p.m.
According to the Facebook event, they are asking guests to "Wear purple, dine on pizza, and celebrate Kristin's life."
Customers are asked to let their cashier know they are there for the fundraiser, in order to make sure their purchase goes towards the fundraiser.
