In our "We're Open Central Coast" segment, we are shining a light on the businesses that make up our community and are staying open.

Tognazzini's Dockside Restaurant and Fish Market in Morro Bay's Embarcadero is still open to serve the community.

Owner Mark Tognazzini was born and raised in Morro Bay and runs his operation with his 50 years of experience in commercial fishing.

He has had to layoff about 40 of his 55 employees because of a loss in business as a result of the stay-at-home order, but both the restaurant and his fish market still have a full menu for fresh to-go orders.

"I'm extremely proud of all the Californian's and extremely proud of San Luis Obispo County residents for biting the bullet and doing the right thing. Social distancing, wearing masks -- I'm extremely proud to be a Californian," Tognazzini said.

Tognazzini also donates 85 meals to the Veterans Hall every month and will continue to do that going forward.

If you are one of the business owners keeping the doors open or if you know of one who is we want to hear from you.
