According to Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services, North River Road is closed between Union and River Oaks. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
This comes after Paso Robles city staff and the Central Coast Regional Water Board met Tuesday morning to come up with a plan to clear the overgrown Salinas Riverbed of dry brush and vegetation.
