Vegetation fire breaks out east of Los Alamos Sunday evening

UPDATE (Monday, Nov. 11) - Santa Barbara County Fire officials report that the fire is 100% contained.

Approximately 10 acres of grass and brush were burned.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but fire officials reported that power lines were down in the area when firefighters arrived.

Crews remained on scene as of Monday morning, mopping up the area.

(Sunday, Nov. 10) - The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is responding to a vegetation fire just east of Los Alamos at 7525 Alisos Canyon Road.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out at around 4:48 p.m.
