Two people were arrested for burglary, narcotics according to Morro Bay police.

Around 5 Thursday evening, officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Main Street for a report of a burglary. A witness told officers the suspects were dressed in yellow safety vets and posing as a maintenance crew. The witness says the duo entered a rear laundry room and attempted to pry the change machine open.

That witness confronted Kelley Lynn Burchnell and Anthony Ishmael Farley who took off in a car. Officers broadcasted a countywide description of the suspects and their car.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's deputies saw the suspect vehicle minutes later and discovered the pair had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

Both were arrested after being pulled over. Deputies say Burchnell was in possession of methamphetamine.

Morro Bay police say stolen property from San Luis Obispo was found in the suspect vehicle.

They were taken to jail and booked on the outstanding warrants, burglary and possession of burglary tools. Burchnell was also booked on the additional charges of possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.
