Two more Santa Barbara County community members have died as a result of the COVID-19 virus, according to public health officials.
According to the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department, one individual was between the age of 30-49 and the other person was 70+ years of age.
Both had underlying health conditions and neither death was associated with an outbreak at a congregate living facility.
According to officials, deaths are reported when a death certificate is processed listing COVID-19 as a cause or a significant condition. This process can take several days and up to two months to finalize if pending coroner verification.
The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the county is 411. There are a total of 31,951 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.
