The Graduate, a popular night club in San Luis Obispo, announced Thursday it will close down at the end of August.
The night club, which has been on the central coast since 1975, took to Facebook to announce it will close its doors "for good."
"It is with great sadness that we let you all know that The Graduate will be closing its doors for good at the end of August. We are sorry to go and want to wish everyone to be well and stay safe," the Facebook post read in part.
The manager said they are closing because of the COVID-19 pandemic and were making less than 10% of normal sales with only outdoor dining.
Graduate regular David Berlin said he has been coming to the night club for the last 10 years every Thursday and Saturday for country dancing.
"Truth be told, I think part of some thing getting me through all of the nightmare that has been this year has been thinking when it's all over I'm going to come back and be able to dance at The Grad, and the rug was pulled out from under me hearing the news because it was not expected," Berlin said.
He has made a website, Facebook page and GoFundMe dedicated to saving the location.
