A teen was killed in a crash on Highway 101 in Los Alamos over the weekend.
It happened shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday when the California Highway Patrol says the driver of a Honda Accord pulled onto the highway from Cat Canyon Road in front of a Toyota Camry, causing the two vehicles to collide.
CHP says the driver at fault, a 46-year-old man from Parlier suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 50-year-old man from Oxnard, and a 38 and 11-year-old passenger also suffered minor injuries. The other passenger, identified as a 16-year-old boy, died from injuries sustained in the crash.
"The non use or improper use of a seat belt by the 16 yr old juvenile is being investigated," CHP said in a press release.
Drugs and alcohol were ruled out as contributing factors.
