A San Luis Obispo Subway sandwich shop was robbed Thursday night.

Police say a man came into the store on the 1300 block of Madonna Road at around 8:30 p.m., pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money from the register.

The man was given an unknown amount of cash before running off, investigators say.

The robber’s hair was described as long, black and chest-length and police say due to its color, texture and shine, it’s believed it was likely a wig.

The robber was also reported to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over a black hat and a red bandana covering his face, making it hard for police to release a detailed description of the person.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police at (805) 781-7312.
