Effective June 17, the Solvang Farmers' Market is being temporarily relocated due to traffic congestion concerns.
Organizers said this will also offer greater opportunity for social distancing.
The market is being moved to a portion of Copenhagen Drive between Alisal Road and Second Street that is temporarily closed to traffic. This move will allow for First Street to remain open for vehicle traffic during public hours and the market's set-up.
Vendors are now required to park their vehicles in the City Parking Lot off of Copenhagen Drive behind the Visitor Center. This will leave space behind vendor tents for pedestrian traffic to businesses.
Vendors previously parked their vehicles behind their tents within the Farmers' Market.
The temporary relocation will continue through the end of the current Copenhagen Street closure.
