SLO Food Co-op is donating a portion of its profits to local organizations.
For the months of July and August, the member-owned grocery store is giving 2% of each Tuesday's total profit to R.A.C.E. Matters SLO. Shoppers will choose a different nonprofit each month.
Members pay $25 per year to join the SLO Food Co-op.
The store is located at 2494 Victoria Avenue in San Luis Obispo. It specializes in local products and organic/non-GMO products.
