San Luis Obispo County restaurants are partnering together to help feed local frontliners during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Novo Restaurant and Lounge located in San Luis Obispo posted about the new initiative on their Instagram Wednesday.
The post says they have partnered with The Hatch Rotisserie & Bar in Paso Robles to launch a crowd-sourced fundraiser to help provide hot meals to healthcare workers in San Luis Obispo County.
Staff with Novo say, "Through community support the money raised will be spent on high quality meals from local restaurants and local farmers via the restaurant supply chain who have been financially devastated by this virus."
According to the post, a $20 donation will help feed one front line medical worker, provide needed revenue to locally owned restaurants and income to their employees, plus provide revenue to local farmers.
The restaurants that have teamed up together include:
- Novo Restaurant Bar and Lounge in San Luis Obispo
- The Hatch in Paso Robles
- Big Sky Cafe in San Luis Obispo
- Side Car in San Luis Obispo
- Black Sheep in San Luis Obispo
- Old SLO BBQ in San Luis Obispo
- Jeffry's Wine Country BBQ in Paso Robles
As of Wednesday, they have raised $11,000.
If you are a restaurant or a hospital that would like to be invovled, you can send any of these restaurants a message on their social media.
