The County of San Luis Obispo's Department of Public Works says they plan to begin repairing a site with storm damage in Cayucos.

The work on Cayucos Creek Road near mile post 1.3. is scheduled to begin November 25, 2019 and continue through January 2020.

The project includes installation of a sheet-pile retaining wall and reconstruction of a segment of the road adjacent to Cayucos Creek where a slip-out caused damage to the roadway.

Crews say construction signs will be put up and the road will be intermittently closed during installation of the retaining wall.

The installation is expected to take place December 2 - 6, 2019 with road closures Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Traffic will be reduced during most other operations to one-way with flaggers.

The work requiring flaggers is scheduled to take place December 9, 2019 - mid January 2020, Monday through Friday, with expected delays of up to 20 minutes.

Motorists are advised to adjust their travel plans in consideration of the road closures/delays.
