A shelter-in-place was in effect for a short time at Arroyo Grande High School Wednesday morning after a couple of students witnessed a person they thought was suspicious, according to the school's principal.
In a message sent to families, Brad Grumbles said students were safe in their classrooms and school officials and law enforcement were investigating.
The shelter-in-place was lifted after law enforcement determined there was no threat.
