UPDATE: Two men reported missing in Kern County found safe

UPDATE (3:20 p.m.) - Kern County Sheriff's officials say Gower and Goldensmith were located at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the area of Johnsondale and are in good health.

The sheriff's office says their vehicle had become stuck in the snow off road.

(2:22 p.m.) - Two men from Atascadero have been reported missing in Kern County.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, the last time anyone had contact with Calum Gower and Cameron Goldensmith was at around noon on Monday, March 9. The two 20-year-olds were staying at a cabin in Wofford Heights and were expected home Monday afternoon but did not return.

Gower and Goldensmith were traveling in a lifted dark green 1999 Toyota 4Runner with two white front fenders and a California license plate number of 4GSS403.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office was utilizing search and rescue, air support, and Kern Valley deputies to search for the two men in an area from Kernville to Glenville.
