Search teams located a body at Lopez Lake Tuesday.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the information to KSBY News, but would not comment on whether the remains were believed to be those of the person seen possibly drowning at the lake over the weekend.
Dive teams have been in the water at Lopez Lake since someone reported seeing a man struggling in the water Sunday afternoon.
An initial search was done in the water and from above. The search turned to a body recovery operation late in the day on Sunday.
The sheriff’s office is not releasing any information on the possible identity, age or gender of the body as the coroner investigation is underway.
