The Santa Maria Town Center Mall is staying open, but some modifications will be made while Santa Barbara County remains in the purple COVID-19 tier.
Governor Gavin Newsom announced Monday the move to the higher tier for Santa Barbara County and many others in the state due to a recent spike in COVID-19 cases.
The mall can operate at 25 percent capacity.
While common areas and the food court do have to close, mall management says food court seating will be moved outside.
Crunch Fitness will also have to close indoor operations, but is working on a plan to move equipment back outside.
Red Robin will be open for takeout and outdoor seating only.
Personal care services at the mall can continue indoor operations with modifications previously set.
Santa will make his annual visit to the mall beginning Dec. 4.
