Veterans received a warm welcome and thank you from students at a Santa Maria Elementary School on Friday.
For more than a decade, students at Sanchez Elementary have held a Veterans Day celebration for veterans, thanking them for their service.
Classrooms gathered outside to give veterans in attendance a presentation, followed by a breakfast.
Teacher and veteran Cristina Signorelli was Friday's speaker on the importance of Veterans Day.
"It's nice to have this day where other branches of the military can come together and share their stories and have that comradery and have the community share with them their appreciation and just honor them for their service," she said.
Veterans visited classrooms for question and answer sessions with students following the breakfast.
