While the pandemic is canceling many holiday events, it’s not keeping Santa from making his annual stop at the Santa Maria Town Center Mall.

Mall staff say children can begin visits with the jolly old man himself starting Dec. 4.

There will be some changes, however.

Santa will not make the center court his home but will still be on the mall’s lower level across from Pink.

Those wishing to see him will also need to make reservations in advance.

“Santa is so excited that we were able to work together and find ways to keep everybody safe and healthy and so that he can still see his favorite people, the kids,” said Kristen Lagrange, marking manager for the Santa Maria Town Center Mall.

She adds that instructions will be in place to ensure CDC guidelines are followed.
