Santa Barbara Zoo announces closure amid coronavirus pandemic

The Santa Barbara Zoo announced Monday that they will closing starting on Tuesday, March 17 due to coronavirus concerns.

Officials with the zoo say, that while there have been no known cases of exposure to COVID-19 at the Santa Barbara Zoo, the health of their staff, community and animals are their top priority.

Zoo officials also say they are canceling all events through May 10 in compliance with the orders made by the state of California.

For guests who have purchased general admission tickets, your tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase, and you are welcome to use them any time within that year.
