(8:13 a.m.) - Santa Barbara police are asking for help identifying a woman they say stole thousands of dollars in jewelry from a local boutique earlier this year.
Police say it happened July 20 at a store on the 1100 block of Coast Village Road.
According to detectives, the woman shown in surveillance footage put about $5,000 in jewelry from the store into her purse when the employee was distracted.
